چکیده
A total of 200 1-week-old Japanese quails were randomly allocated into five treatment groups, each consisting 40 unsexed birds (five replicates, eight each). Quails reared in traditional cages (90 × cm), and feed water made available throughout the 5-week trial. The groups as follows: 1st was fed basal diet, whereas 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th with ration supplemented nano zinc (Zn-NPs) at doses 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4 g/kg respectively. Results showed that, a significant (p ≤ .0001) improvement body weight, weight gain, intake, conversion ratio observed diets 0.2 Zn-NPs. Supplementation Zn-NPs 0.1–0.3 diet demonstrated positive impact on activity ALT, AST, LDH. liver profile parameters not statistically influenced > .05) by dietary biological zinc, exception cholesterol (TC), high density lipoprotein (HDL), low (LDL). Also, supplementation concentrations superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GPX), malondialdehyde (MDA), immunoglobulin G (IgG), M (IgM). Dietary led to an increase beneficial microbial populations. From obtained results, had effect performance physiological status growing quails.HIGHLIGHTSZinc (Zn) is important trace element for general functioning animal body.A growth enriched Zn-NPs.Supplementation (0.1–0.3 diet) immunity antioxidant indices

The Effect of Medicinal Plants as a Feed Additive in Ruminant Nutrition
Since the use of antibiotics in animal feeds has been banned, researches on alternative natural products that modulate ruminal fermentation have been intensified. Natural compounds such as plant extracts have been considered to be replaced antibiotics as safe and sustainable alternatives. Plant extracts especially essential oils and saponins have strong antimicrobial, antiparasitic, antiprotozo...
